Department: Special Programs Picnic in the Park
Hours: Temporary, Part-Time, 20-30 hours, 30-minute lunch
Reports To: Picnic in the Park Kitchen Lead
Pay: $19.00/hr.
Position Description
The Picnic in the Park Site Supervisor will distribute meal boxes to children throughout the
county each week. The Site Supervisor will load a commercial van with meal boxes and milk,
administer the distribution site, and complete required paperwork accurately and completely.
Remaining boxes will be stored at the end of the run. Site Supervisors will also be responsible
for running product and supplies from the FISH warehouse to/from Morgan Middle School using
FISH vans.
Essential Functions
Works with the Kitchen Lead to organize each day’s meal distribution
Loads and distributes meal boxes and milk
Returns any un-distributed meals to the storage at Morgan Middle School
Maintains an organized and clean work environment
Prepares paperwork to conform to required standards
Moves product and supplies from FISH warehouse to/from Morgan Middle School
Specific Requirements
Attend sponsor training
Agree to follow and abide by FISH Employee Handbook
Relates information about each site’s distribution to the Kitchen Lead
Safely and accurately stores food maintaining standards of food safety at all times
Represents FISH and Picnic in the park with professional behavior at all times
Job Requirements
Good communication skills
Ability to operate as part of a team
Ability to follow directions and abide by regulations
Strong organizational skills
Ability to operate under and meet deadlines
Ability to record and maintain records
Reliable punctuality
Ability to work some Saturdays
Qualifications
Experience in customer service
Spanish language skills a plus (a $1.00 bump in pay available for Spanish speakers)
Current Washington State Food Handler’s card (by start date)
A clean driving record
Physical Demands
Working in the weather
Ability to load/unload several hundred 35lb. boxes and gallon milks into a commercial
van daily
Standing and walking for extended periods of time

minute lunch on full days
Reports To: Director of Personnel/Picnic in the Park Administrator
Pay: $19.00/hr.
Position Description
The Picnic in the Park Monitor will conduct specific and accurate monitoring visits of all sites
being used to distribute meal boxes. The Monitor will create a schedule to monitor all sites
within programs requirements. They will visit each site, fill out required paperwork completely
and correctly and work with the Site Supervisors on any problems encountered. Follow up visits
may be necessary.

Works with the Picnic in the Park Administrator to monitor all distribution sites of the
program throughout the summer
Maintains an organized and clean work environment
Prepares paperwork to conform to required standards
Specific Requirements
Attend sponsor training

Creates a monitoring schedule using directions created by the USDA
Conducts monitoring visits to all distribution sites, many multiple times
Represents FISH and Picnic in the park with professional behavior at all times

boxes for the Summer Food Service Program, Picnic in the Park. Meal boxes must be put
together correctly and quickly according to the Kitchen Lead’s instructions. Recording keeping
may also be required.

Works as part of a team preparing meal boxes for children
Accepts responsibility for work of the team
Maintains an organized and clean work environment

Assists in organizing, preparing, packing and storing of meal boxes
Safely and accurately prepares food maintaining standards of food safety at all times
Properly stores left over meal boxes
Represents FISH and Picnic in the park with professional behavior at all times
