KERNEL 2019

In conjunction with the Kittitas County Public Health Department and the Ellensburg Farmer’s Market, FISH presents:

KERNEL!

Kids Eating Right – Nutrition and Exercise for Life!

During all the Saturdays of the summer – June 22 – August 24 – FISH is bringing KERNEL to the Ellensburg Farmer’s Market! KERNEL is a great program to help kids learn about the world around them through nutrition, gardening and exercise. Each week we will have a different activity for kids at our booth at the market. After trying out the cool things we’re doing, they will get a coupon for $2 to use on fruits and vegetables in the market!

Check out all the cool activities below!

6/22: Bee Dance

Kids will dance away while they learn about bee communication.

6/29: Eat the Rainbow

Kids will learn about the great nutrients that come from colorful fruits and vegetables.

7/6: Companion Planting

7/13: Parts of a Plant
