Awareness is the first step to understanding. Understanding is the first step to empathy.
Saturday, June 23rd
Beginning at 9:00 am at FISH Food Bank
1407 North B Street
The FISH Community Food Bank Awareness Project is to change the perception of hunger and to include the community in our battle to combat it. The Awareness Walk will kick off this campaign on June 23rd.
The two mile walk will start at FISH Food Bank and end at the Rotary Pavilion. This is an opportunity to raise awareness of hunger in our community.
Individuals and teams are encouraged to walk in this event. Teams of 5-10 walkers are encouraged. Walkers will pay a $15 registration fee, and are also asked to seek donations of $10 each to sponsor a walker and team. Team Captains are the link between your walking team and FISH. Register using the form below! First 100 walkers to register will receive a free Walk t-shirt.
We are grateful for the continued support displayed by the community! We hope this Awareness Walk is a chance to celebrate that unending support, while also contributing to the goal of ending hunger. FISH thanks you for being a leader for the event and for your community!
